THE NEW CRIMES OF THE MAD HATTER Batman and Robin learn that the Mad Hatter has escaped from prison and is no longer robbing rare and expensive hats, but using hats to rob. They soon also learn that he is striking at the twelve jurors whose verdict sent him to jail. More than twice, the Mad Hatter manages to escape from the Dynamic Duo, but during an escape attempt with a balloon, Robin stymies his escape by popping the balloon with a hat pin borrowed from a nearby woman bystander bringing the crook back to the street level, where he is finally captured. THE BAT-MITE HERO After an exasperated Batman tells Bat-Mite to "Go and find yourself another hero!", the magical imp does just that. Three new candidates "audition" to be the new Bat-Mite Hero. The first two Bat-Mite Heroes are totally unfit for the role of heroes and they are discarded after blundering their chances. However, the third hero is in fact a crook that managed to trick Bat-Mite and uses his powers in favour of his crime accomplices. Batman and Robin have some difficulties dealing with Bat-Mite's troubles, but in the end they manage to capture the crooks and make Bat-Mite realize the mistake he made. After a quick apology, Bat-Mite returns to his dimension.
